Please ensure you do 1-2 cleaning pages/cycles after installing a new cartridge to maintain good prints.
To get the best possible print outs change your printer settings to BEST if possible.
Please note some cartridges may say empty or volume low - this is a way of the original manufacturers making you buy their cartridges - just simply click 'ok' or 'continue'
My Printer doesn't Recognise the cartridge
If the printer doesn't recognise the cartridge - there may be some dirt or ink on the electronic contacts of either the cartridge or printer. Using a damp paper towel to clean both electronic contacts should solve the problem - Please MAKE sure there is no power to the printer if you are going to clean the electronic contacts. If this does not work try to remove the cartridge, reboot your PC and try to reinstall again.
The Cartridge is working but it's giving me Poor Prints.
One of the most common problems with Epson Printers is the print heads becoming blocked with drying ink. This can start happening within 15 minutes of the old cartridges being removed from the printer and not being replaced straight away or by infrequent use of the printer. We strongly advise customers to have 2 sets of cartridges so that when the cartridge runs out it can be replaced immediately with a fresh cartridge. This keeps the print heads moist with ink and helps prevent blockages.
If you are an infrequent user of your Epson Printer we would advise you to print something in black & colour at least once a week to keep the ink flowing through the heads and thus avoiding the problem outlined above. In either case the problem can often be rectified by the print head cleaning cycle built into all Epson Printers, However, you may need to do 5-8 head cleaning cycles to clear the blockage. In many cases if the blockage is more severe the Epson head cleaning cycle is not enough to clear the blockage. In this case we would recommend having the print heads professionally cleaned.
All ink cartridges must be stored upright in their box whilst in storage before use. If the cartridge has not been stored in this upright position (i.e during postage), then the print quality will be poor until the ink settles to the bottom of the cartridge. Simply leave the cartridge installed in the printer for 2-6 hours, and quality will be restored. Make sure any spare or newly delivered cartridges are stored upright for 2-6 hours before use, so they work correctly when first installed.
The above hasn't worked or I do not have an Epson printer and I still have Poor Prints
An air pocket may be stopping the ink from leaving the cartridge. Simply remove the cartridge, take a folded sheet of kitchen towel, and rap around the cartridge and shake the cartridge several times. Then blot the cartridges print head on the towel until a colour or black pattern is seen, now the ink is leaving the cartridge, the cartridge can be inserted into the printer.
If no pattern is seen then, Take a single piece of kitchen towel, fold in two and gently dab the cartridge head on the paper towel until you see a head print from the cartridge, if you do not get a good head print from the cartridge, simply wet the corner of the kitchen towel and gently wipe the cartridge head several times, then blot the cartridge head again with the dry kitchen towel, now insert into your printer and run 2 or 3 cleaning pages/cycles
