Ho do I burn a 99 minute CD?

When you put a 99 minute CD into your machine, and check the amount of data you can store the first thing you will see is that it is the same size as a regular one.

This is not true as these discs are set up to be overburnt, and this is something that software programs can't detect.

What you have to do is set up the software on your machine so it can overburn the disc, and this will allow you to access the extra data.

When you first insert the disc it will state the size at the normal size of around 700mb, you have to make sure that your CDwriter can use the overburn facility that allows the allocation of much larger files.

If you do have this facility then you have to enable this function and you should be able to burn to the full 900mb.

For a comprensive guide on how to do this using NERO, the software we would recommend using, you can visit this page on our website (add overburn link here).

Additionally, while overburning you are approaching the edge of the CD's capabilities and thus damage can be caused, therefore sometimes the software will refuse to allow this to happen.
