- Introduction
- Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. We would like your transaction with us to be trouble free and firmly believe that a satisfied customer is one that is likely to return! These Terms are designed to contract us to a higher standard than is required by law or eBay which also assures you of superior customer service and protection. If there is any part of this document that seems unclear or ambiguous, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will be happy to clarify and offer any further assurances that you may require.

- “Tribbecks” is a trading name of H R Tribbeck & Son, as detailed in Section 2. As such, we are compliant with current UK legislation including the Sale of Goods Act 1979, the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003, the Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations and the Data Protection Act 1998. - Prices quoted throughout the website are in GBP and are inclusive of UK VAT where at the appropriate rate and where applicable.
- VAT will be paid by the seller on all applicable sales to parties within the EU.
- Goods ordered to be delivered outside of the EU will be zero rated for VAT.
- No further tax or levy, except for postal charges, will be added to the final eBay price.
- The buyer will be responsible for any import duty or levy raised as a result of importation to another geographical of tax regime.
- Payment
- We accept PayPal, Sterling postal orders and BACS for UK transactions. Without prior arrangement we can only accept PayPal for international transactions.
- We will despatch the goods within 2 working days of receiving cleared funds.
- Bank transfer is preferred for domestic customers – please ask for details.

- Order Processing & Despatch
- All orders placed on this website are subject to these Terms and Conditions but your statutory rights are unaffected.
- It is your responsibility to pay for goods as soon as is reasonably possible.
- We will acknowledge receipt of funds and despatch items within two working days of confirmed receipt of cleared funds.
- If delivery becomes delayed due to unforeseen circumstances we will advise you of this as soon as we become aware and where possible we will inform you of the anticipated delivery date. You will then have the choice to wait, re-order or cancel.
- We reserve the right to contact you at any stage during the order process to satisfy ourselves of the authenticity of the order and the payment; any doubts arising from either of these matters may lead to our rejection of your order.
- Postage and Handling
- Our default carrier is Royal Mail though we reserve the right to use any other carrier equalling or exceeding Royal Mail service standards.
- All items will be despatched using a tracked and/or signed for service with an appropriate level of insurance.
- Relatively small items shipped to UK destinations will be sent by “Royal Mail Signed For” or “Royal Mail Special Delivery”.
- Most items shipped to International Destinations will be shipped by “Royal Mail Airsure” or “Royal Mail International Signed For”.
- Appropriate services will be used for relatively large items and you will be advised of the service used before despatch.
- Returns Policy
- Fixed Price Sales
- The Distance Selling Regulations stipulate a 7 day cooling off period and apply to items purchased via fixed price formats including "Buy It Now" listings and "Second Chance Offers" on eBay.co.uk. They do not apply to auction format listings on eBay.co.uk. However, we will extend a 14 calendar day cooling off period to our fixed price format sales.
- If you wish to cancel within 14 calendar days you must notify us in writing of your intent within 14 calendar days of receipt of the goods. Written notice may be given by post, fax or e-mail.
- This cooling off period does not represent the offer of a free trial period and items should be returned in the original packaging where possible and in an unused and unworn condition.
- We will reimburse you within 14 calendar days of receiving the goods back in satisfactory condition and within 14 calendar days of your notice.
- You will be responsible for the safe keeping of goods until they are received by us and as such we would recommend returning the article by a recorded delivery service. (NB: proof of posting does not serve as proof of delivery.)
- You are responsible for the safe keeping of any article in your care prior to its return to us for any reason. Any damage or loss to goods in your care is your responsibility and you will be held liable to any charges that may arise due to loss or damage during this time.
- Where you cancel under this section, you will be responsible for returning the goods to us and for the postal charges incurred in doing so.
- We reserve the right to take any necessary steps to recover goods not returned and will seek to recover any costs reasonably incurred by us due to this process.
- If an item is returned under the terms of a cooling off period we are required to refund the cost of the contract for fixed price listings including second chance offers. In the case of an auction sale, we will refund the selling price only. However if an item is returned due to an undisclosed fault or accidental or intentional material misrepresentation on our part will also refund the reasonable cost of your return postage.
- Please do not disassemble or attempt to effect a repair to an item if you intend to return it. If this is done it may be impossible to return the item in the condition in which it is sent and may materially affect your statutory rights. If you suspect that there may be a problem of any description please contact us and we will do our best to reach a satisfactory resolution.

- Complaints and Feedback
- eBay states, “Sellers are not permitted to include in their listings or terms of sale any conditions that limit or restrict the buyer from leaving feedback.” Further to this we would like to mention that we will endeavour to leave feedback for our buyers when an item has been dispatched and would politely request that our buyers leave feedback for us once an item has been received.
- If there has been a problem with a transaction we would prefer to reach an amicable solution by negotiation.
- We would also politely request that if you have any complaints or are in way unhappy with goods or services supplied by us to notify us as soon as possible to allow us to try and rectify the situation. Nobody benefits from dissatisfaction and we firmly believe that as we have been in business for over 100 years we have the experience necessary to reach an amicable solution for our buyers.
- We will always offer a full refund if goods are returned to us within 14 days in the same condition in which they were sent and can therefore can only apologise for any inconvenience or disappointment that this may cause.
- Where goods are returned to us as a result of a complaint, we will reimburse reasonable postage costs.
- If you have any complaints, comments or suggestions as to how we can improve our service please contact us at ebay@tribbecks.com. Alternatively, please write to us at the business address listed in section 2.
- We will endeavour to acknowledge all complaints in writing (by email) within 2 working days of receipt, and aim to reply in full within 7 working days.
- Security
- We take the prevention of fraud very seriously and reserve the right to reject any order at any time without notice or explanation.
- Where we have a reasonable suspicion that a transaction may be fraudulent we may pass details of such transaction to the relevant investigating authorities.
- Intellectual Property
- Copyright in the material on this website and design rights in the items depicted is the property of H R Tribbeck & Son trading as “tribbecks” and “tribbecks.com” and is protected by UK and international intellectual property laws worldwide. As such, it may not be reproduced (in its entirety or partially and whether in 2 or 3 dimensional form) or revised without our specific consent. You may print copies for your personal use provided that this notice is also reproduced on every such copy.
- Law
- These Terms and Conditions and the supply of the goods will be subject to English Law.
- Our Liability
- We will not be held liable in so far as permissible by law for any loss or damage resulting from your use of or reliance upon any information or communication sent by us.
- General
- These Terms and Conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
- Privacy Policy
- We are committed to protecting your privacy and will only use information that we collect about you lawfully, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
- The type of information that we may collect includes your name, address, other contact details including e-mail address. Your information will be used by us to process your order and to maintain your details on our customer database, so that we may deal with any enquiries or follow up to your order, and/or on our mailing list where you have requested this.
- You can check what information we hold about you by e-mailing or writing to us. At your request we will correct or delete information.
We only operate an “opt in” mailing list and will only add your e-mail address to a mailing list if you have specifically asked us to do so. If you do subscribe to any mailing list and subsequently wish to unsubscribe you should e-mail this request to us at enquiries@tribbecks.com.
We will not sell or pass any of your details to any third or where we are required to do so by law, court ruling, or as referred to in section 9b.
