LINES ROCKING HORSES

G & J Lines was founded in 1850. They manufactured many different toys, including rocking horses. Lines horses are usually identified by their dished shaped faces and thick neck (more usual on J & G LInes horses). The stand brackets were three hole secured to the stand with carriage bolt and two woodscrews. The brackets are usually marked on the underside, with either J & G LL, or G & J LL. The company became a limited company in 1910, so later horses may have the Ltd stamp, also on the underside of the bracket.   Some of the rarer Lines horses to be found include the three seated bow rockers, the jubilee stand and the Lines Bronko.   LINES HORSES CURRENTLY IN STOCK   Mimi   A large Fully restored J & G Lines rocking horse, in excellent condition throughout. £2500   LILY A fully restored Lines rocking horse. £2250   BUZZARD   A fully restored Lines Sportiboy in excellent condition throughout.
