| FOUNDATION The best way to apply mineral foundation is with a kabuki brush, either by tapping some powder into the lid and swirling the brush in it or tapping the jar so the powder comes through the sifter. To start off with it is best to exfoliate your skin so you do not have any dry flaky areas as this will notice when you apply the powder. Always moisturise your face after exfoliating and then (if you have oily skin you do not need to moisturise if you prefer not to) wait a couple of minutes until it has been absorbed into your skin before applying the mineral foundation. Apply a little at a time in circular motions, start at the jaw line near your ear and work your way around to your nose, chin and forehead and gradually build the colour until you get the desired coverage. If you have large pores you can gently rub the powder in with your fingers after you have applied it with a brush especially around the nose and chin area. You can also use it like a normal foundation, just tip some powder into the palm of your hand and mix it with some of your favourite cream and apply in the same way as any liquid foundation, this is especially good for people with either dry skin or large open pores. Do not apply the powder too heavily if you have deep wrinkles or dry skin around the eyes. If you have dry skin you can either gently dab or spray your face with some water after you have applied the foundation. If you have any spots or blemishes that need covering just dip a brush into the powder and dab more on this area or use a concealer. When first applied your face may look slightly powdery but do not be alarmed as the oils in your face will soon take this up and leave your skin looking silky smooth that will last all day and night.
CORRECTOR AND COVER-UP/CONCEALERS
Correctors are to be used under foundation onto areas that have a heightened colour that you wish to tone down. Whereas concealers are used to hide under eye circles and skin blemishes etc. To use concealer on blemishes you can use dry or mix a tiny amount of powder with some water into lid of product (always dry lid after use) or cream with a small brush and dab on area to be covered, for under the eyes area, dab a tiny amount either wet or dry powder, along the darker areas of skin to hide dark shadows or any discolouration. BASE POWDER & FINISHING POWDER FOR OILY SKIN Apply base powder before foundation or use on its own for oil control only. Use finishing powder for oily skin under or over foundation. It is best used by those with oily skin or if you are going out for the evening e.g dancing. BEAUTYFYING FINISHING POWDERS Beautifying Powders are used for setting your foundation and they give your skin a subtle shimmery flawless finish, for all skin types.
MINERAL SUNSCREENS/ACNE ROSACEA Sun Screen powders can be worn on their own, under or over foundation, they are great for those who do not like oil based sun screens and very healing for acne rosacea. They come in 3 shades in either 22 or 35 SPF. Apply these powders in the same way as the foundations and finishers. BLUSHER The best way to apply mineral blusher is with a blusher brush, either by tapping some powder into the lid and swirling the brush in it or tapping the jar so the powder comes through the sifter. Smile and apply in circular motions on the apple of your cheeks. BRONZER Bronzers can be used as blushers or an all over face and body tan. Just lightly dust over face and body with a larger brush to give you a natural sun-kissed shimmering glow. For a deep golden tan, apply 2 or 3 layers depending on how dark you want it to look. EYESHADOW/LINER Shake some powder into the lid of jar and use in the same way as ordinary eye make-up but remember this is a loose powder and will fall onto your cheek, so place a tissue just beneath the eye to catch any excess and so avoid any smudging. To use as eyeliner you can use it wet or dry. Just dip the end of an eyeliner brush into some water a mix it with the colour in the lid of the Jar untill you get the right consistancy (always dry lid after use)and apply a thin line to top of eye lid just above the lashes or just under the bottom lashes. If you prefer a smokey look gently rub over the line with a dry brush. SAMPLES Please note: Samples are primarily for purposes of colour selection and to test out on your skin only. But for ease of use you can tip samples of foundation, blusher or finishing powders onto a plate but the eye shadows you can quite easily use from the bag with a thin brush. If you do not find a match for your skin type, you can mix 2 or 3 of shades together until you get your perfect match.
