Terms and conditions on Ebay Shop and Auction listings.
The following terms and conditions apply to all purchases of items from the auction and eBay shop items. Please read this document carefully before placing a bid or buying the item from our eBay shop. We reserve the right to change these terms from time to time. Any such changes shall not affect any contract subsisting between us at the time of such change. Please check them before any new purchase(s) are made. We advise you, as our valued customer, to print and keep safe a copy of these terms and conditions for your reference.
Guarantee
By placing an order with Plumbgiant Ltd (refer to as us/we/our) you (the customer) are accepting these terms and conditions. These terms do not affect your statutory rights.
We will acknowledge your order through “My eBay” and email as soon as possible and every effort will be made to dispatch the goods the same day. You will receive with your goods with a printed receipt. Please ensure you keep this in a safe place as this will also be your guarantee on the following terms:
Returns
Goods, other than faulty goods, may be returned within 7 working days of the date of receipt by you of the goods. The cost of the return delivery charge under these circumstances is to be paid directly by the customer. As you can appreciate, all such goods must be returned in an ‘as new’ condition complete with packaging and all accessories, with the original packaging unopened. Unfortunately, goods which do not comply with this condition may not be returned. For example modified or ill fitted taps that show abuse will not be accepted as returns.
Where goods are returned in accordance with this provision, we will happily reimburse any money already paid by you.
When we receive the returned goods, we will inspect them to ensure all accessories and other components are within the returned package and that you have taken reasonable care of the goods. Where the customer has complained of faulty goods they will be tested and then a refund will be issued.
If we receive an item that you have not taken reasonable care of, we will charge you a 30% of total price administration fee as well as a fee equivalent to the reduction in the item’s value.

Delivery/Costs
• We regret that we cannot accept orders for and make deliveries to addresses outside of mainland Britain. For delivery addresses within the mainland, we will endeavour to deliver the goods within the times stated in the delivery section if there are any anticipated delays the customer will be kept informed of the progress. We will not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges or expenses caused by any delay for delivery of the goods unless caused by our negligence.
• Should delivery be delayed by us for more than 7 days from the delivery date you have the right to contact us and refuse the goods. In this case we will happily refund you any money paid for the goods, as the last thing we want is an unsatisfied customer.
• As we will be using Royal mail 1st class and Special delivery services we can avoid unnecessary costs for re-delivery if you are not present at the agreed original delivery date or address the parcel is likely to be sent to the local sorting office and not miles away to some courier’s depot.
• As soon as we have delivered the goods to you, you will be responsible for them. When we deliver the goods we will require you to sign for them. If you are not able to sign for a delivery Royal mail will leave a re-delivery card.
Our responsibility for everything other than damage due to our negligence will end at the time the carrier tried to delivery the goods to you.
• Title in the goods will pass on delivery. Should you return the goods pursuant to conditions set out under these terms and conditions, then title in the goods shall revert to us when you return the goods to us.
Faulty Items
• Important notice: time limit for notification of claims:- If goods arrive in a damaged condition you must inform us within 48 hours from the date of delivery and we will either replace the goods at no charge, or refund any money paid by you for the goods. If the goods returned under this condition are found not to be defective and in full working order the goods will be returned to you and a refund will not be given.
A refund will also be refused if goods are purchased in an auction and the customer complains of goods having slight blemishes on the chrome or small indentations caused while production.
• We are required to send parts to your home for the product, the taps come tested but in some occasions may leak and may require tightening and be faultless.
Accuracy of Information
• The information in the launch pages and eBay shop is given in good faith. It is subject to change without notice. We are not responsible for any inaccuracies and (except as set out under the heading “Liability”) make no representation and give no warranty as to its accuracy. The pictures are supplied to us by our suppliers and the photographs are true representations of the products for sale. If there is a difference there will be a subtle change from the illustrated picture. We will try to prevent this from happening by taking pictures of the actual item offered for sale in the auction.
Materials in eBay auction and eBay shop
• The material published in the auction and eBay shop is issued to Plumbgiant Ltd by its suppliers and is the property of the company. This material includes but is not limited to, the design, layout, look, appearance and graphics. It is protected by intellectual property laws, including but not limited to copyright.
• All trademarks reproduced in this website, which are not the property of, or licensed to us, are acknowledged.
• You may view, use, download and store the material found on our site for personal and research only. Commercial use of the material is not permitted. The redistribution, republication, or otherwise making available of the material on this site to third parties without our prior written consent is prohibited.
• Unauthorized use of this website may give rise to a claim for damages and/or be a criminal offence.
Payment and Prices
• We will accept payment of your order by Visa, Mastercard, Delta/Connect or Amex but we prefer Pay Pal. Payment by cheque or cash on delivery is not accepted funds must be cleared before goods can be shipped. Unfortunately we do not offer credit facilities.
• Payment for goods must be made in accordance with our purchase procedure. All orders are positively credit card sanctioned prior to dispatch. We cannot accept responsibility if any details you provide us with are incorrect or if any order is held up as a result of incorrect details.
• The price for the goods will be as stipulated on the hammer price and eBay shop price at the time when you place your order. We are entitled to make adjustments to the price to take account of any increase in our supplier’s prices, or the imposition of any new taxes or duties, or if due to an error or omission on the price published for the goods on our eBay site is wrong. We try to ensure that all prices displayed on our website are accurate, but the price of the goods on your order will need to be validated by us prior to processing your order. If there is a problem, we will inform you of the correct price and will give you the opportunity to purchase the goods at the correct price.
• All prices on our website are in pounds sterling and inclusive of VAT but exclusive of our delivery charges, which will be payable as indicated at the time of placing your order and shown when processing the invoice.
Availability
• Your order for goods is subject to availability. If we do not supply goods to you for any reason we will inform you of the situation and will not charge you for those goods, we will obviously refund any money already paid by you for the goods. However, we will not be responsible for compensating you for any other losses, which you may suffer if we do not supply the goods. The shop will be updated as stock runs out
Liability
Please note that today’s production techniques cannot guarantee an absolutely perfect tap and buyers should be aware of the possibility of imperfections in the form of a few isolated inconsistencies in the chrome finish or light scratches. As a result of this, there is a commonly accepted tolerance level by which taps may display such imperfections without being classified as faulty. As such, we can only take back taps as faulty for refund/repair if the tap is leaking or is heavily dented, subject to the Terms and Conditions.
• Many of the goods we sell are of a technical nature and unfortunately it is not practical to publish detailed specifications of all the goods and keep specifications 100% up to date. All drawings, descriptive matter, specifications have the sole purpose of giving approximate descriptions of the goods. However, if your goods do not conform to the specification displayed by us relating to such goods at the date of purchase, we will arrange a refund on production of the proof of purchase (sale receipt).
• As you can appreciate we shall not be liable to you, for any failure or delay in performance of our contract, if it is due to an event beyond our reasonable control. Including, without limitation, acts of God, war, industrial dispute, fire, flood, tempest and national emergencies and if so delayed we shall be entitled to a reasonable extension of time for performing such obligations.
• The contract between us shall be deemed, to have been made in England and shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Complaint Procedure
• We operate a complaints handling procedure which we will use to try to resolve disputes when they first arise. We will however endeavor to acknowledge all complaints within 7 working days. We value our customers and we aim to avoid leaving negative feedback for anyone and we like to be treated the same. If you are dissatisfied with the product please contact us before you leave a negative feedback threats will not be tolerated!
