Interesting Info
The Earth is tilted on its axis at an angle of 23 degrees and 27 minutes. When your hemisphere is leaning as far away from the sun as it can - the winter solstice - the hours of daylight are the shortest and the sun rises at its lowest point in the sky. The summer solstice, at the same time in the other hemisphere, brings the longest day and the highest sun.
