On our Index CDs, the data for each parish varies depending on the content of the magazine, and usually contains a combination of the following :-

Index by name – gives an overview of the various indexed events associated with a person, and makes it easier to look for name variants. The index identifies which of the following sections a name appears in. |

Baptisms – lists all baptisms printed in the magazines. Names of parents are usually included, and sometimes addresses too. Very occasionally, godparents are also named. Occasionally, births are listed rather than baptisms. |

Marriages - lists all marriages printed in the magazines, giving names of bride and groom. Addresses of bride and groom are sometimes also included. |
|
Burials – lists all burials printed in the magazines, including age at death. Addresses are sometimes also included. Occasionally, deaths are listed, rather than burials. |

Prizes – lists details of all prizes and awards mentioned in the magazines. These are usually mainly prizes associated with Sunday schools, or religious inspections of day schools, but flower show winners, and winners of other types of award are also included. |

Donations - lists details of donations printed in the magazines. |
|
Advertisements – captures the main content from advertisements for local businesses. |
|
Miscellaneous – lists a selection of roles and events mentioned in the magazines. This often includes details of parish helpers, bell-ringers, teachers, and people taking part in entertainments. |

Extracts – contains transcriptions of all obituaries or "in memoriam" articles in the magazines, plus a selection of other articles describing events associated with named individuals. |
