INFORMATION REGARDING THE SALE OF
RECORDABLE MEDIA
Due
to a recent incident, we would like to clarify a few issues regarding
the sale of material In recordable media format (ie. material sold on
CDR or DVDR)
LEGALLY
Firstly,
regarding the law, it in NOT
illegal to sell material on CDR / DVDR (or a “copy”
as many would call it)
It
IS illegal to sell UNAUTHORISED
copies or copies which infringe a copyright (i.e. copying a film onto
DVD and selling it on or selling copies of an album).
The material we
sell are legal, authorised copies.
EBAY
POLICY
Ebay
policy prohibits the sale material on recordable media, unless the
media is either in the public domain, or the seller owns the copyright.

Below,
we have listed how our products are sourced. These methods fall in with
Ebay policy guidelines.
OUR
PRODUCTS
We do sell many items
which are sold on recordable media.
This material is
sourced in one of the following ways:
OUR
OWN WORK – the product has been
designed by us, therefore giving us the right to sell copies as we
please. In order to continue to provide our customers with original
products, we tare trying to keep as much as possible in this category.
RESELL
RIGHTS – a product with resell
rights is an item which has been specifically designed for the purpose
of copying and reselling. We have been granted full resell rights by
the creator of the cd. We
do stock a large number of these type of products.
Most
of the items we have on sale fall into the first 2 categories. However,
we do have some of the following:
ROYALTY
FREE
–
similar to a product with resell rights. Basically the
contents of the cd may be used without paying any royalties to the
creator.
PUBLIC
DOMAIN – information which is in the
public domain is copyright free, and is free for anybody to use as they
wish. As a general rule, if we decide to use public domain material, we
will usually be packaging it with other items in order to offer better
value.
EXPIRED
COPYRIGHT
–
if a copyright expires, the material falls into the public domain.
PRESENTATION
OF OUR
PRODUCTS
Just
because an item is in CDR or DVDR format, does not mean you will
receive an orange disk with branding all over it, and a small
handwritten label!!!! We ensure that all of our products are as
attractive and professional looking as possible
We
use plain white, printable madia to supply our products, and we print
the face of each CD with appropriate graphics . Photos of each item are
shown in each auction description.
RESELL
RIGHTS
Please
do not assume that YOU automatically have permission to copy and
re-sell products purchased from us. We DO NOT offer resell rights on
products designed by ourselves. Additionally, many items don't have
master resell rights, which means that while we have permission to
reproduce and sell them, we are not allowed to sell them as having
resell rights (ie people who buy from us cannot resell). In other
cases, we have purchased the right to sell an item, and unless you do
likewise, you don't have permission.
We
do not advertise ANY items as having resell rights, even the ones where
we have master resell rights), and we will NOT provide any
form of written "proof" to allow others to sell these
items. Additional, we will take action against anybody found
to be copying our listings, store pages, pictures or any other content,
or linking to our pictures.
