Listed below is a description of the 6 areas of a young child's development & learning, we have uniquely incorporated a fantastic range of products to cover all of these areas.

Physical Play (Toys in this area please see the catagory of "Physical Play" on our home page)

Improving skills of co-ordination, control, manipulation and movement. This achievement helps a child gain confidence in what they can do and enables them to feel the positive benefits of being active and their well being. Children will be able to use confidently a range of small and large equipment such as tools, objects, construction and malleable materials with safety and increasing control.

Creative Play (Toys in this area please see the catagory of "Creative Play" on our home page)

Being creative enables children to make connections between one area or learning and another. These areas include art, music, dance, role play and imaginative play. Children will go on to explore sounds and how these can be changed, sing songs from memory, sound patterns and match movement to music. They will be able to respond in a variety of ways to what they see, hear, smell, touch and feel, and communicate their ideas.

Mathmatical Play (Toys in this area please see the catagory of "Mathmatical Play" on our home page)

To encourage children to count, sort, match, seek out patterns, make connections, shapes and numbers. You can achieve this through stories, songs, games and imaginative play. Children are encouraged to use language such as 'more-less', 'heavier-lighter', 'circle' and 'bigger' for shapes.

Personal & Social Play (Toys in this area please see the catagory of "Personal & Social Play" on our home page)

To support children to be able to develop a positive sense of themselves, such as independent personal skills, attention and concentration, excited to play and learn, make choices and to share.

Imaginary Play (Toys in this area please see the catagory of "Imaginary Play" on our home page)

Children to enjoy listening, and using spoken and written language within their play and learning, enjoy stories, songs, rhymes, music and making up their own. Imaginary play by recreating roles and experiences such as cooking, construction, role play and pretend play. Through talk and play to organise their ideas, feelings and events.

The World Around Us Play (Toys in this area please see the catagory of "The World Around Us Play" on our home page)

Children are encouraged to learn, understand and make sense of the world. This forms the foundation for later work in science, design & technology, IT and information. Children can find out about where they live and the natural world, cultures and beliefs, select tools and use techniques, build and construct with a range of objects and look at patterns and differences.
