Many of my listings include the word "Ex" in the title or description.

High Street stores have their clothing made by manufacturers. Sometimes stores decide to change a fabric, a style or a pattern. Maybe the manufacturer made too many, sometimes the store decides not stock that item or to reduce the quantity that they stock. The manufacturer will then sell them on.

This is legal, however they cannot be advertised as being from the store they were meant for... hence the word Ex. Under these circumstances I have to ensure that the labels are defaced, so they cannot be returned to the store, as they never came from there.

They are perfect quality and exactly what you would have expected from that store. Not all of my goods are Ex. Many items are tagged - ie have come direct from those stores or are branded items that feature in many stores and have come from bankrupt stock.
