 | Q: What is your return policy? |
 | A: 7 days, full refund if product is in same condition as I sold it. Shipping is not refundable.
Please email me for tips on how to get your pet to work prior to returning it, sometimes it's something simple. |
 | Q: Do you combine shipping? |
 | A: Yes. I am not into making shipping another profit center like many people do on Ebay. I charge only the same or very close to my actual shipping costs without lots of profit padding. Therefore, I will be happy to lower my shipping costs any way possible, by combining shipments, choosing a lower cost carrier, choosing a lower cost service, etc. |
 | Q: When can I expect my order to arrive? |
 | A: I will ship your order within 24 hours of your payment during regular business hours M-F. The exception is if I don't know what you want (ie, you haven't chosen a style or color) I will wait another day or two before I give up and ship my choice rather than yours, just to get the order out. |
 | Q: How much is the Shipping and Handling Charge? |
 | A: Actual shipping charge, no handling charge, except for First Class mail I charge you $1 for the padded mailing envelope. That cost is included in the shipping and handling cost you see quoted in the auction. For example, it costs $1.82 to ship 1 pet First Class mail (4 oz), so I charge you $2.82. USPS Priority is best for at least 4 pets. |
 | Q: Do you ship internationally? |
 | A: Yes, USPS First Class mail is the best rate unless your package weighs over 4 pounds, which would equal about 25 virtual pets. After 4 pounds the best deal is Priority mail or Flat Rate Box Priority, depending on the weight. |
 | Q: Are these virtual pets genuine or are they the fake knockoffs I see elsewhere on Ebay? |
 | A: These are the real thing. In the mid 90's we had a retail store in a mall selling these pets. After only one year we had to shut the store down and we "temporarily" stored the remaining pet stock in storage. Over ten years later I rediscovered these pets and started selling them on Ebay. |
 | Q: Are these pets really rare and collectable? |
 | A: Yes, some of the same pets I'm selling for $30 to $50 are selling elsewhere on Ebay or on the internet for anywhere from $100 to $250. Check it out. Most of those have been opened and used. Mine are brand new except in a very small number of cases where so noted. I often see a pet I sold someone get resold the very next week for 10 times my pric |
 | Q: Why are you selling these pets so much lower than market price? |
 | A: I don't really want to be selling pets for the next 5 years, I want to get rid of them. I still have hundreds of these things and they are taking up space. |
 | Q: If you've had them sitting around in yor storage for over 10 years, aren't the batteries going to be shot? |
 | A: In most cases there is a pull-tab on the pet. Until the tab is pulled the batteries are not activated. I have found that in most cases the pets work as is, but some batteries are dead. I test each pet, replace the batteries if needed, re-install or create the pull-tab, and then include a spare set of batteries on the side if not needed in pet. |
 | Q: If you test each pet, then it's no longer "unopened brand new" right? |
 | A: If you want me to keep my hands off the pets and ship them as is, just let me know that. Keep in mind that in that case I have no idea if the pet will work. I'll still include spare batteries on the side. |
 | Q: What happens if I accidently let the pet "die"? Do I have to throw it out or can I reset it and start over? |
 | A: All the pets have a reset button on the back to let the pet be "reborn". Worst case would be to open the battery cover and then close it again, so that the pet restarts when the battery power comes back on.
Don't be fooled by competitor claims that some pets have to thrown out when they "die", that's ridiculous! |
 | Q: Where can I find a good price on spare batteries for my pet? |
 | A: Local stores will often charge $1.50 or more for one battery! EEEK!!! You can buy these same batteries on Ebay or elsewhere on the net cheaply, but watch out for high shipping. As a service I sell 6 or 10 spare LR44 batteries for 10 cents/ea + actual shipping cost + 50 cents for the bubble envelope. |
 | Q: What battery should I be searching for? |
 | A: Most pets require 2 batteries, some 3. All but 2 pet models use these interchangeable model numbers:
LR44,A-76,AG-13,L1154,357,G13A,357,157,SR44,SR44SW
The Bat and Bear pets need one bigger battery CR2032, also known as: DL2032, KECR2032, BR2032, K-CR2032, E-CR2032, KL2032, L2032, ECR2032, 5004LC, KCR2032, DL2025, ECR2025, 5004LC, SB-T15 |
 | Q: I replaced the batteries and the pet still doesn't work. Help! |
 | A: Pay attention to which side of the battery to install. It's usually printed on the back cover. Most pets need to have the right battery face up and the left battery face down (big flat side towards you). The covers can be confusing, sometimes it seems to be saying to put them opposite of needed. If it doesn't work one way try the other way. |
 | Q: It still doesn't work! |
 | A: There are usually some metal contacts on the back cover, and it sometimes helps if you pinch them higher in the air (not laying so flat against the cover). That will help the metal contacts make proper contact with the batteries when you close the cover. Clean any corrosion on the contacts. Pull the pull-tab. Push the reset button. |
