Have you got a socket
for my Laptop?
We try very hard to list sockets for as many
laptops as
possible. We receive a huge amount of
compatibility messages everyday and most answers can easily be found by
searching our Ebay Shop or Website www.laptopsandspares.co.uk
or a quick Google search. If you cannot
easily find the answer using these methods then by all means contact us
through
Ebay or take a picture of your existing socket and mail it to sales@laptopsandspares.co.uk
with details of your laptop. We will
check it out and get back to you ASAP.
Following the above steps will help us keep unnecessary enquires
to a
minimum and speed up response times for everyone.
Do I actually need a
new socket?
Faulty sockets are a
very common
laptop problem. However the same
symptoms can also occur if you have a fault in the charging circuit or
another
motherboard fault. If the socket doesn't
appear to be physically loose or broken then i would recommend getting
it
professionally checked out first.
Are the sockets easy
to fit?
Most sockets are easily fitted by anyone with a
basic
knowledge of soldering. However the
disassembly of a laptop is a complex procedure and is best carried out
by
someone with a decent amount of technical knowledge.

What about combined
postage?
We can offer a combined postage discount on
multiple
sockets. Simply purchase the items but
request an invoice instead of paying straight away.
We will combine the postage and send you a
revised total.
Dispatch Time?
Almost all orders are dispatched within 24hrs and
often the
sameday. While we make every possible
effort to dispatch ASAP we have little control over what happens once
the goods
have been sent.
Where is my Order?
Unfortunately it is a fact of life that the Royal
mail can
be unreliable. For this reason EVERY
order we dispatch is sent via Recorded or Special delivery. First Class Recorded items are NOT classed by
the post office as a next day service and can often take several days
so please
leave a reasonable time for delivery and check for cards indicating
attempted
delivery before contacting us. The Royal
Mail will only class a parcel as being officially ‘lost’ after 3 weeks
so If
you really must have the item urgently then chose Special Delivery .
Tracking Numbers
If your parcel has not reached you after a few
days then you
are more than welcome to request the tracking number from us which can
be
tracked on the Royal Mail Website http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm
Please note that Recorded Delivery tracking
numbers only
indicate the status of the parcel ie. Delivered/Not Delivered/Carded or
Returned. Often your best bet to find
the status of these packages is to call your local sorting office. Once again if you require FULL tracking
information chose Special Delivery instead.
Incorrect part or
returning items?
Due to the huge volume of orders we process every
day, very occasionally things go wrong. If you receive the wrong part than please
contact
us. Under most circumstances we will
require you to return the item to us with a copy of the original order
and a
covering letter. We will then
replace/refund as necessary.
