We are an independent small business & value every single customer. We are always around when not listing or posting new items on 10am-4pm weekdays to help but we do hope that you take the time to read all of the below to for our mutual piece of minds. CONTACT: If you need to contact us it is essential that you login to eBay and message us via your item page. This helps us have a record of details relating to your order. If you have already done so, don’t worry we'll be in touch within 48 hours. Just as in your real everyday life, manners are important on the Internet as well so messages all capitalised or containing insults will not be replied to. There are no problems that cannot be solved simply with a return and/or a refund
Our online opening hours are 10am-4pm weekdays where we aim to reply within 2-3 hours but this maybe 24 hours if we're busy posting and listing new items; Like any other weekday job please recognise that though we do not work weekends, answers will be much slower but we guarantee to try and get back to you as soon as humanly possible.
POSTAGE: The Thrifty Beatnik believes in the old-fashioned notion of fair play; you pay fast you get your item fast. Unless made before 7am. We post out items at 9am the day after payment to make sure the item(s) get through your letterbox & into your wardrobe quick-sharp ready to wear. Most shops on the high street will keep things aside for you for 3 hours. We allow 3 days but then relist as its not good form and there are plenty of other eager winners on there. For the free postage deal on immediate payment items: Pay for the items you want in full at the same time and we will rebate quickly after. We need this in place to stop timewasters so please time payment for auctions and buy it knows to benefit.
FREE POSTAGE OFFER: We would rather lose money on UK postage and get you your auction at the price you paid than profit in postage. Therefore you only pay the highest postage and then no absolutely more on additional items paid within three days! in the UK however much you buy whether it be 2 T-shirts, or 150 Jackets! Please note: There is a limit of 3 items on your first order with us. This is to make sure we're compatible x
UK: Unless stated all items are sent via Parcelforce . We recommend can't stress enough that adding the 75 pennies for piece of mind is worthwhile.
INTERNATIONAL: Royal Mail Airmail. This is a worldwide service that should you easily within two weeks. We provide International Signed For service at your request for an additional cost of £3.56 per delivery: this is absolutely compulsory on order over £10. This service ensures that your item is tracked all the way & on arrival at its new home. We do combine and discount postage on international orders though when you make a purchase of £10 or above, you will automatically be charged the additional insurance cost to ensure you are fully covered against any loss, damage &have full tracking.
RETURNS: We doubt you’ll want to return your order but, if you do, we operate a no quibble returns policy. If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, don’t strop. You're not a teenager anymore and it’s never a great look. Simply return the item(s) to us in its original condition within 14 days of receipt, stating the item number and PayPal transaction code. Please send returns/exchanges to us by traceable mail; the item is your responsibility until it reaches us. For your own protection, we recommend that you send the parcel using a delivery service that provides tracking such as Royal Mail Recorded Post [the cheapest]. If they get lost in the post we absolutely cannot refund so this protects us both. We do not refund before return; No online shop or high street shop that would think that is acceptable would they? Please allow 3-5 days to be processed, but 99.9% we refund upon the day of receipt
NON-RECEIPT: Absolutely no need to worry! As our courtesy email states; your order was posted the day after payment. If the order isn’t with you let us know via your item page & we'll personally look into it on your behalf. Unfortunately with the decline of royal mail the postman doesn't always leave a note even for recorded post. We're very liberal with refunds even at our complete loss of item & postage. You wouldn’t chargeback / threaten or be unnecessarily aggressive or rude in a shop if you wanted help would you? :)
NEGATIVE FEEDBACK: Do not leave neutral or negative feedback without contacting us first. Our feedback is testimony to our honesty & reliability but recently due to too many unnecessary problems with inexperienced eBayers who don't understand the returns policy or read the item condition section about vintage clothing If you have a problem once the eBay auction items are received, please contact us via your item page & we will do our best to resolve it. Negative feedback is removed for us by eBay as we're fantastic sellers so just help us help you
