I set up The Gem Tree some years ago because I found it very difficult obtaining the gemstones & crystals I needed to help mw with healing issues and spiritual growth. When I did come across shops selling crystals I found the assistants had no idea about crystal healing and even found that many of the crystals would even be named incorrectly. Also many places had a really limited range, they would only stock the most popular crystals like Amethyst, Moonstone, Bloodstone, Carnelian etc etc which was no good to me anyway because I needed the likes of Azurite, Kunzite, Herkimer Diamond which I just couldn’t seem to find anywhere.
To gain knowledge I enrolled on a Crystal Healing course which I found fascinating so did another and another, I must have completed over 35 Crystal Healing courses to date and have enjoyed every single one.
I then looked into wholesale because it was the only way for me to get the exact crystals I needed, I found a few wholesalers and the rest is history. It also surprised me to see what some stores were charging compared to the wholesale prices, I just thought it was a complete rip off and I could do better than that so I opened my first shop and The Gem Tree was born. My aim was to be able to offer advice about Crystal energies for healing & spiritual matters, and most importantly to know what I was talking about. I also charged fair prices; I believe that anyone should be able to afford Crystals whatever the budget.
My customers range from school children to private collectors. The prices start from 25p for a tumbled stone and go to £3000 for a collector’s piece.
I try to get the unusual Crystals and travel around the world hand selecting many of them myself to ensure quality is 100%.
I still have the shop in my home town of Leicester, run a website at www.thegemtree.com and also sell on eBay so I am pretty busy most of the time although I do have help from people who I swear were sent from heaven above just for me.
It gives me great joy to send my crystals all around the world so others can share in the Love, Light & Wisdom of The Mineral Kingdom.
I also take great pleasure from designing & making my own range of jewellery. Often some crystals are rarely made into jewellery which I think is a shame, just because it may not have the look of beauty that some other Crystals have does not mean it is any less valuable to use for Healing & Guidance.
