How Do I measure my window?

Decide if the blind is to fit inside or outside the recess. If inside, then measure the full recess width (blue arrows). If outside then decide on the overlap and measure the full width to the end of the overlap (red arrows)

Ready made blinds are in metric sizes. Usually 60, 90, 120, 150 and 180cm width. Usually the drop is 160 or 165 cm maximum

Do I fit my blind inside or outside the recess?

Blinds can be fitted either inside or outside the window recess. Inside the recess generally looks neater. On the other hand this may involve cutting the blind to the right width.

Only some blinds (see FAQs by type of blind) can be reduced in width. Often a blind hung outside the recess can look just as effective and is easier to fit. Perhaps a standard size cannot be, or does not have to be, reduced.

If your windows open inwards or you have shutters, the blind will need to be outside the recess to allow operation of the window.

Are blinds available to match the exact measurements of my window?

The Bargain Blind Shop supplies only ready made blinds. Some can be easily made to fit your window, some are more difficult (see FAQs by blind type). There is always the option of hanging the blind outside the recess.

The final option is made to measure. This is expensive and the Bargain Blind Shop does not supply made to measure blinds. In my opinion it cannot be done at Ebay prices
