Fitted above or each side of the door made between 1960 and 1979

Following a serious injury to a fitter (a 6 inch gash in the leg when the spring disintegrated) I have decided that these springs are of an age (30 years+) that makes them unstable and not safe to work on.

I will not therefore supply spares for them as I would not want to be responsible for a customer injuring themselves

CARDALE COMPACT

Took over from the above made from 1979 to 1984

This system has no side rollers as the spring is mounted on the back of the door 1/3 up and the cones act as the rollers.

This is the only door with cones and the spring on the back of the door so is easy to I.D.

OLDER OVERHEAD SPRING BAR

Made from 1984 to 1987

The cones are distinctive as they have no Hex on the narrow end and the door will have link arms made from flat steel bar.

C.D.45 OVERHEAD SPRING

Made from 1987 to 2001

ALSO FITTED TO WESSEX, WICKS AND SCREWFIX DOORS

You can identify it by the distinctive Hex on the narrow end of the cone
