We carefully researched the benefits of CD audio tuition alongside other formats such as video and DVD, with trials involving keyboard owners. Read our 'Why Audio' page for further details.
What languages are your tutorials available in?
At the present time, our tutorials are available in English language only.
Do I simply listen to the CD lessons or am I involved in some way?
In the majority of lessons you are fully involved, taking part in many interesting practical examples. These are very much 'learn by doing' tutorials. You will experience the fun of completing the examples yourself, with the guidance of the spoken word instruction.
I am an intermediate / advanced user; will these tutorials be suitable for me?
Yes, they are suitable for all levels.
If I am working through your tutorial and come across a question directly related to a lesson, can you help?
Yes, although we do not offer general product support for keyboards, Clavinovas or software, we are happy to help any tutorial owner with a question that directly relates to an item of information within one of our tutorial lessons.
Can I skip some lessons in the tutorial course and go to the ones that I feel will benefit me most?
Yes, in fact many advanced users have started with the advanced lessons in the tutorials and then out of curiosity tried one of the easy lessons. To their surprise, many of these users have then found shortcuts and functions on these easy lessons that they never knew existed. To get the most benefit from our tutorials, our suggestion is to follow the course in conjunction with the *lesson plan included. (*lesson plan included with 7CD sets only)
I am a complete beginner; will your keyboard/Clavinova tutorials be suitable for me?
Yes, they are suitable for complete beginners as well as intermediate and advanced users. Our musical instrument tutorials have been tested in trials with musicians and non musicians. Arguably, as a complete beginner, you will have the most to gain from our detailed, yet easy to follow musical instrument tutorials.

What format are your tutorials
Our tutorials consist of spoken word instruction on Audio CD's. These are regular audio CD's that play in ordinary CD players. The instruction is clear and at a pace that is easy to follow. There are plenty of pauses to allow you to complete examples and most CD players have the benefit of a pause button as well as the ability to rewind or fast forward. Track buttons on CD players allow you to go immediately to your chosen lesson, without the need to fast forward or rewind. Our main 7 CD set tutorials also come with a booklet containing references, tips and a lesson plan. We recommend that you take it nice and easy and only listen for around ½ hour at any one time. With lots of new information to take in, you may want to repeat a track again. This of course is one of the many benefits of CD audio listening, together with your own personal tutor on CD!
