As a consumer (i.e. where you are not purchasing either wholly or in part for your business and you are not a business) you have the right, in addition to your other rights, to cancel the contract (other than for audio or software products which have been unsealed by you) and receive a refund from us. You must inform us in writing if you wish to cancel within seven working days, starting on the day after the goods are delivered to you. If you choose to cancel then you must return the goods to us at your cost and risk. We advise you to ensure the goods are adequately insured during the return journey. Your shipping cost will not be refunded.
Unless stated none of our units come with any type of warranty, hence the reduced cost.
Obviously the units need to be fit for purpose so we will look at any issues on a case by case basis up to one month after the sales date.
Any issues of this nature need to be reported back to us by mailing chanelle.mcphee@scc.com, once the issue is reported we will issue returns instructions.
PLEASE NOTE : The unit will initially need to be returned at your cost.
On receipt of the faulty unit we will..
1) Assess the unit to verify the fault.
2) Repair the unit if possible and return it to you.
3) If the unit can not be repaired it will be replaced on a like for like basis and returned to you.
4) If no units are available then a full refund will be issued.
Process 2, 3 or 4 will include a refund of your postage back to us if a receipt is sent with the item.
This process should be completed with in 5 working days, if it is not please mail andrew.oconnor@scc.com who will investigate further.
All of our laptops undergo a limited charging / hold charge battery test. In this test we aim to give the buyer between 1 - 1.5 hours of work time using the battery supplied.
It is recommended that, due to the age of some of these batteries, a new battery is purchsed as soon as possible to improve the laptops operational time.
Battery life is not covered in any warranty, unless the battery provides no work time at all.
Battery life can be increased by the correct laptop drivers being loaded and power savings been applied.
