WHY WRAS APPROVED?
WRAS approval means that the filter has been approved for use under the Water Regulations Advisory Scheme by WRc-NSF based in South Wales. This means that the filter has been approved for use with the UK's public water supply. One of the WRAS requirements is that the materials should conform with BS6920, which ensures that the plastics do not leech chemicals into your drinking water supply.
NSF Certified
NSF is the body responsible for national certification of water related equipment in the USA. If a product has been "NSF certified", this means that NSF has certified the product to prescribed standards. Once a product has been certified, the manufacturer is allowed to feature the NSF logo in association with the product. Products may be described as "meeting the NSF standards" with no reference to NSF. |
