The details of the national industrial action are as follows:
Date Function striking General mail services impact
Friday 6th November All operational functions Limited collection, processing, movement and delivery of mail in most parts of the country.
Saturday 7th November No strike action being taken. Normal Saturday services, although times may vary due to the unusual volumes of mail to handle after Friday’s strikes.
Monday 9th November All operational functions Limited collection, processing, movement and delivery of mail in most parts of the country.
Mail services will operate normally today and on Saturday 7th November, although delivery times may be later than usual in some areas because of a larger than usual amount of mail to sort and deliver.
The strike action planned for Friday 6th and Monday 9th November is not inevitable. We are continuing to urge the CWU to call off the stoppages and concentrate with us on supporting customers during the Autumn and Christmas peak mail period.
However, if this strike action does go ahead, some delay to the collection, distribution, processing and delivery of mail will be inevitable.
Further details of the impact this proposed strike action will have on mail services is available on the regional pages which we will continue to update each day. |
