My Buyer Commitments
The Omega Trading Company was set up to offer a range of hard to get gifts for any occasion, at value for money prices, and delivered with prompt and efficient service. We have now expanded our ranges to bring you a wide range of useful electrical and electronic products at low prices. In addition, we offer the same if not better levels of guarantee and service you would normally expect from a major high street chain-after all, why settle for less? We pride ourselves in offering new items every week, and try to bring the best we find to our customers at the lowest prices we can.
We also include a 'best offer' option on most items enabling our customers to make us an offer. It's a kind of 20th Century bartering, but do not be offended if we refuse your offer! Make sure that your offer is reasonable and sensible, and if the price is right you never know!! (Please note that my Multibuy Discount does not apply if you make a 'Best Offer').
The following are my Buyers Commitments and are designed to serve you the customer properly and with fairness and integrity for both parties. If we fail to do this we want to know so we can put it right, and quickly!
1. We guarantee everything we sell is fit for the purpose as described, or a full refund will be given, (excluding return postage)
2. We will not overcharge for postage, and only seek to cover our costs which will include packing, and materials.
3. We will package each item well
4. We will normally send by the most efficient and rapid delivery method, and our postage prices reflect a combination of price and speed. Any winning bidder may contact us prior to completion of the transaction to reduce postage costs, or pick up the item from us directly, in which case we will refund the postage.
5. We will always try to describe all our items accurately.
6. We will communicate promptly if you contact us through ebay messaging. Sometimes email may be affected by junk mail filters, so if you don't hear from us do try again!
7. We will send the winning bidder an acknowledgment on receipt of payment. Please allow at least five working days for cheques to clear prior to despatch
8. We accept PayPal for all transactions incl. International transactions, plus we will accept Postal Orders, and Cheques in UK Sterling Only for UK purchases
9. We will reduce postage costs for multiple purchases. Please await an invoice before completing payment or contact us prior to completing payment
10. If you have a problem-contact us and we will endeavour to sort it out to the best of our ability
11. Sometimes we run out of stock, due to circumstances usually beyond our control- sometimes we find a product is damaged when we come to ship it - if we do run out we will offer an alternative or a straight refund.
Terms & Conditions
By bidding you accept the terms of trading with omega trading as follows:
1. If you have an overall negative feedback rating please do not bid
2. Please do not bid or buy an item if you do not intend to pay
3. If you are outside the United Kingdom and are unable to provide payment from a verified PayPal account do not bid or buy as we cannot accept international chequs or money order due to high bank charges. We cannot accept direct bank transfers.
4. Items will be posted within 3 working days of payment clearance, and most are despatched much sooner
5. Payment should be received promptly as an item may run out of stock
6. We will post worldwide (with a few exceptions), as long as the buyer understands that you are liable for any import tax, or duties or any other kind of incurred charge, that may be applicable to the item.
7. We ensure that all the information provided is up to date and accurate as possible, but Omega Trading cannot be held responsible for the manufacturer changing it's specifications from those in an auction
8. It is the buyers responsibility to ensure that the item is suitable for their intended use before purchasing. If in any doubt contact us before you place a bid or 'Buy it Now'

9. An item that is 'dead on arrival', or damaged in transit must be notified to us via email within 7 days of receipt of the item, for the item to be replaced or refunded
10. All items have a 30 day money back guarantee, from the date of receipt of the item. In the event of the buyer wishing to return an item, postage costs are borne by the sender and a Returns Authorisation number must be requested first by email
11. Omega Trading do not accept liability for any return costs nor do we accept responsibility for returns that are inadvertently lost should your selection of return method not allow you to track the item. You should ensure that the item is adequately packaged for return and insured - items that are damaged returning to us are not our responsibility. Using a service such as Royal Mail Recorded Delivery service is recommended, as this service is 100% traceable
12. No returns will be accepted without prior Authorisation. To request a Returns Authorisation number contact us.
13. The covering warranty is from date of purchase and is from the manufacturer-this does not include consumable items such as ink, batteries etc
14. We store and process customer data in accordance with the current legal requirements of the data protection law. We do not send 'SPAM'. We will contact you regarding the purchase you intend to make, are in the process of making or have made within a reasonable time scale. Data that is collected is used to: A. Take and fulfil customer orders B. Administer and enhance the site and service C. Only disclose information to third-parties for goods delivery purposes (e.g. Royal Mail)
15. All items purchased are used at your own risk and we reserve the right to amend or add to these Terms and Conditions without prior notice
16. These terms of sale and the supply of the goods will be subject to English law and the English courts will have jurisdiction in respect of any dispute arising from a contract
17. We do not own eBay, PayPal, or Royal Mail and have no control over their actions, nor can we be held responsible for your accounts held with them and you should contact each one directly for assistance. Please email us if the item has not arrived within 14 days of us notifying you of it's despatch for us to be able to refund or replace
18. If you do not understand any of these terms either please contact us or do not bid
19. In the unlikely event of stock becoming unavailable for any reason an immediate refund will made or an offer of a similar item in our store subject to availability
20. In any event of a problem or you're not happy just email us and we will endeavour to sort things out!
