WF65 -- CT63
This is the Dual Cable Mainly used for and developed for Sky by Raydex and later re-developed by Belden under the number H123 distributed under WF65 by Webro.
Raydex stopped production of this cable just before the acquisition of Belden.
Neither the model number CT63 or the physical structure of the cable was continued by Belden because of problems with the copper screen over dielectric breaking up in use. That is why today in WF65 cable you will note an Aluminium screen over dielectric.
The previous problems of copper on this cable have been resolved by Belden, so it is possible that manufacture of this cable with copper screen over dielectric may resume in the future.
Like it or not original CT63 is now obsolete due to it's problems in service as mentioned above. However, there is still some old stock floating about.
WF65 is the only dual coax cable produced and it carries the Belden part number H123.
WF65 is the Webro number used for ease of ID and is shown on the cable drums.©mediachannels-uk
Additional information as of June 2005:
Following discussion with Webro. In production now but not widely available is a copper braid/screen version WF65CU which I may put on sale shortly (more expensive). This does not take away the fact that WF65 remains Sky and CAI approved. Excellent value for money with no noticable difference on short runs.
