Items of less than £10.00 in value can be sent either 1st Class, 1st Class Recorded or Special Delivery. Items of £10.00 - £35.00 in value will be sent via 1st Class Recorded. Items more than £35.00 in value will be sent via Special Delivery.
This protects your items from loss or damage in transit. You can rest assured that any items which have been lost will be replaced adhering to Royal Mail's terms and conditions.
Note: Royal Mail will not accept a compensation claim for Recorded Delivery items for 15 days. If you wish to guarantee your items, please use the Special Delivery option.

14 karat Filled vs.Gold Plated
Many people are not aware of the differences between gold fill and "gold-plated" jewellery. Basically, gold fill jewellery is of a higher quality. It is also sometimes referred to as "Rolled Gold". Any item is at least 5% gold by weight. It is a professional jeweller's quality wire.
Quality that Counts
14k Gold Fill wire is made by forming a tube of solid 14 karat gold that is filled with a base metal. The gold is bonded to the base metal with heat and pressure. The base metal is also gold in colour and is made up of almost the same mixture of metals (usually a brass alloy) used to bring 24 karat gold down to 14 karat, 10 karat, etc. The exterior of the product is solid 14 karat gold and everything you can see or touch is a solid layer of 14 karat gold. This is why it will never tarnish, chip or wear off. The gold layer on gold-filled wire is approximately 100 times thicker than gold-plate as and is bonded with heat and pressure.
Gold-Plate, on the other hand, is a microscopic film of gold particles that have been adhered to most any kind of base metal by means of an electroplating (or dipping) process. This can very easily crack or flake away leaving the base metal and an unattractive piece of jewellery.
