Magpie Jewellery was started in 2004 in Sheffield, by a mad beader who was frustrated with the poor quality, poor availability and excessive prices of beads in Sheffield.
Since our humble start in 2004 in a bedroom in Sheffield, we have had to move to larger premises twice, and are now based in the far north of Scotland, somewhere far prettier than Sheffield. (Sorry to all you Sheffielders, but it true).
We're still a small company, but we have contacts all over the world, and our beads are imported by us directly from the manufacturers in India, Pakistan, China, Japan, America, Bali, the Czech Republic, and Birmingham!
Because we import direct, not through wholesalers or agents, we have a huge range at far better prices than most. We are contantly expanding our range, and on our new website launching this week (18/09/2007) we are finally offering wholesale. Check it out at www.magpiejewellery.co.uk.
