GENERAL CCTV ADVICE.
The current major issue regarding CCTV in the UK is that systems are being specified incorrectly. Whether its DVR HDD size or Lens requirement, MAP Security will always try to offer the customer our best advice in order to achieve best results!
Its pointless having a system that records pictures of a large area but then cannot provide quality images at an entry point where facial recognition is required.
All too often CCTV evidence is being thrown out of court due to reasons such as system set up…EG All footage must include the date and time and be a direct download from DVR and not a video clip from a PC. When CCTV evidence is used in court it becomes the first discussion point for a defence case who will look for any possibility of malpractice making the evidence worthless.
