The book 'The Giulietti sound' will be launched on Octobre 19, 2008 in Paradox, stage for contemporary music in Tilburg, the Netherlands. It will be published in Dutch as well as English. 96 pages, many photos and including a cd with Giulietti recordings from 1965 to 2005.
At the presentation there will be two performances. The British accordionist Karen Street, who plays the Giulietti for thirty years, will give a solo concert. Furthermore some pieces for two or more accordions will be played by members of the Demian Ensemble.

The book that matches the accordion
This book tells the story about a search for the secret of the special sound of the Giulietti accordion (right). It contains interviews with the people who built the instruments in Castelfidardo, Italy, as well as with people who play the Giulietti accordion for many years, and people who knew Julio Giulietti (1910-1996). The book also contains a CD with twelve pieces played on the Giulietti accordion, ranging from 1965 to 2005.
