• Shampooing should only be done after 4 to 5 uses. 

• Gently detangle from the end to the roots (clips) with a wide tooth comb before washing.

• Use a gentle flow of luke warm water holding your Hair Extensions by the Clips (roots) allowing the water to run down the hair shafts (be careful not to scrunch or tangle hair).

• Carefully wash with a mild shampoo in luke warm water, avoid rubbing and twisting the hair.

• After shampooing use a gentle conditioner to bring back shine and lustre.

• Once shampooed and conditioned, gently squeeze out excess water and pat the hair dry with a towel, avoid rubbing and twisting hair in the towel.

• Gently detangle hair again with a pick or wide tooth comb. Start with the ends and work upward to remove any tangles (being careful not to pull too hard).

• Please do not brush whilst the hair is still wet.

• We recommend that the Hair Extensions are allowed to air dry. If however you choose to blow dry please use a low cool setting.

• The Hair Extensions are best stored in the air tight packaging that they came with to keep them fresh when not being used.

• Style hair as instructed by your stylist.

If you maintain the care of your Clip In Hair Extensions it is not uncommon for them to last anywhere from 6 months to 12months. This will also depend on the amount of usage.

Human Hair Extensions can be styled and straightened as you would you own hair, however please bear in mind the following:

• When styling your hair, it is important to prepare it properly. Wash it and condition it after. Free it off the tangles. Dry your hair thoroughly as per guidelines above.

• When it is dry, apply protective products. These products will keep your hair from burning and drying out. There are also creams that you can apply on your hair so that the thermal device will not stay on your hair longer.

• It will also help if you style a portion of your hair at a time. Dividing it in smaller sections will help you style your hair faster. It will also allow you to coat your hair better with protective creams and sprays. This makes it certain that your hair has protection from heat while you are styling it.

• Do not let the hair styling iron stay on your hair for more than eight seconds. If you are curling your hair, use a curling wax. The wax will help your hair hold the curls longer as it reshapes faster. When straightening, use the right level of heat on your hair so that you will not repeat gliding the flat iron through your hair repeatedly.

• Although it is fun to style your hair, it can be damaging especially if you do it wrong. Start by choosing the right tools. Know the basics in the proper way of taking care of your hair. Add products to protect it from heat and style it a section at a time so that the styling tools will not stay longer than it should on your hair. Your hair will remain healthy if your style it properly.

• Avoid using heat over the bonded section of the hair at the top where the clips are normally attached, as this will affect the adhesives used to bond the weft of hair together.
