Most of this jewellery is from Mexico's "Silver City" of Taxco. It's famed for its silver mines and silversmiths.

Most pieces of Mexican Silver jewellery are stamped 925. This means that there are 925 parts of silver in every 1000 of its metal content. This is conformity with the 925 marking USA silver products and the 925 content of Sterling Silver.

Don't be confused with 925 Silver and Pewter or Alpaca called 'Mexican Silver or German Silver' that does not have any silver, Alpaca is an alloy of copper, nickel and zinc; pewter does not have silver; it's an alloy of tin, copper and antimonous. What I offer is 925 Silver otherwise I state other metals.
