Why it is safe to buy from us
Our committment to your safety
For all their beauty and elegance, lasers can be dangerous if not built correctly. We believe that we are the only laser light show seller on eBay whose products all conform to all applicable British Safety Standards.
We have conducted exhaustive tests on the equipment we sell, and will not offer anything for sale unless we are 100% certain that it meets our stringent safety standards.
Our equipment has been custom modified by the manufacturer to ensure that all possible safety features are in place, making sure that you can concentrate on the beauty of the show, instead of worrying about the safety of the audience.
British safety standards
Lasers are recognised as a potential hazard and therefore need to be operated in a controlled and safe manner. The main safety criteria is; No one should be exposed to laser light that exceeds the Maximum Permissible Exposure limit (MPE) as defined by UK and international standards. This is achieved in 2 ways:-
- The laser equipment is designed with safety features that keep the MPE within acceptable limits under normal use backed up with a number of approved fail-safe devices.
- The laser equipment is set up in an appropriate manner that prevents the audience and operators from being exposed to laser light beyond the MPE.
In response to these safety issues, Laser Know How has ensured that all of its products have been designed with of number of safety features to comply with the first point. Detailed and clear operating instructions with safety guidelines are provided with each product in order to comply with the second.
Important user warning
It must be made clear that all of the safety features in the world will not help if a laser is used incorrectly. Under no circumstances should a laser ever be pointed towards someone's eyes.
Whilst we guarantee the safety of our equipment, we cannot be held responsible for any accidents occurring as a result of misuse.
