STERLING SILVER
What is sterling silver?
Sterling silver is an alloy of silver containing 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals, usually copper. Majority of our sterling silver charms show a stamped quality mark of 925, however some are just so small that it is impossible for the stamp to be put onto them
How Do I Care For Sterling Silver?
With proper care, sterling silver will last a lifetime. To minimize scratches and other damage, store your sterling silver charms either in a cloth pouch or in a separate compartment in your jewellery box. Avoid exposing them to household chemicals when cleaning with bleach or ammonia, or when swimming in chlorinated water, as these chemicals can damage silver
To clean your charms, you should use polishes or cloths made specifically to remove tarnish. These polishes, solutions or cloths can be purchased from most hardware shops or on Ebay. Wearing your sterling silver is often the best way to prevent tarnish from building up, but regular cleaning will help prevent it occurring and keep your silver bright and sparkling
