Damaged or Faulty DVDs
When a DVD has a problem with playback it can be due to a variety of factors.
It may be that the DVD is dirty in which case wiping with a dry clean cloth can solve the problem. It may also be the case that the laser in your DVD needs cleaning and you can purchase special discs to perform the cleaning - if other discs do the same thing then this could be the cause. However, sometimes the manufacturers make a bad press of a DVD and this could be the case here if the disc is not dirty and your laser is OK.
Discs that are region encoded will sometimes not play on equipment that has been modified to disable region encoding and where this is the case we cannot accept responsibility for the disc not playing. On rare occassions we find that a particular DVD simply will not play in a particular machine with no plausable explanation. We would therefore advise playing the disc on a different machine to see if it does the same thing.
If you are outside the UK it may be that the disc is not compatible with your player. All our DVDs contain full information regarding format and region encoding and it is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the disc is compatible with their player prior to purchase. We are unable to accept returns in this instance.
We test all discs that are returned and will replace those that are faulty including return postage costs. If the DVD plays without problem on our equipment then we assume a case of incompatibility and are not liable for any postage costs incurred by you. In this instance we also reserve the right to return the DVD to you at your cost.
If your purchase is damaged, faulty or defective in any way please contact us within 7 days of delivery so that we can arrange for replacement or refund.
