 | Q: Is your teak furniture sustainably resourced? |
 | A: All our wood comes from Java, Indonesia, where our team works closely with Perum Perhutani and the Indonesian Government's Forestry Department to ensure the conservation of the plantation and it's surrounding environment.
The rainforests are NOT the source of the timber for any our products. |
 | Q: Do you offer any kind of guarantee with my purchase? |
 | A: We are so confident of the quality of our procuct that all our Sherwood range products come with a one year guarantee to replace or repair any issues that may arise with our furniture. |
 | Q: When can I expect my order to arrive? |
 | A: We aim to despatch to our couriers within five working days. They will contact you to arrange a delivery slot that suits your needs. |
 | Q: How much is the Shipping and Handling Charge? |
 | A: If an order comes to less than £200.00 then the delivery charge will come to £40.00. If the order comes to over £200.00 then the delivery charge is reduced to £30.00.
Items can also be picked up by prior arrangement at no cost at our showroom in Gomshall, between Gomshall and Guildford in Surrey. |
 | Q: How can I care for my purchase? |
 | A: Teak is renowned for durability and immunity to the elements and rot due to it's unique oil and rubber content. If untreated, the wood will go a silvery grey colour with time, which is still attractive to the eye. A water based wood sealant (which can be found in our shop, and delivered along with our furniture)will preserve the original colour |
 | Q: Why is your furniture the best quality on the market? |
 | A: You will find all our furniture is of a uniform colour, unlike lesser quality furniture which makes use of sapwood (white wood) and black wood (wood nearer the roots) which deteriorates in quality and finish quickly and is not suitable for outdoor furniture. Do not be deceived. Buy from the first, and best, of the teak retailers in the UK. |
