Postage & Packaging
For UK customers, we send everything 1st class post and dispatch within 24 hours of payment clearing. For customers outside the UK, we send everything by Royal Mail Airmail and again, dispatch within 24 hours of payment clearing. Customers should note that no matter when we dispatch parcels, post is not collected from our post office until 5.30pm each day. we always obtain proof of postage so you are covered if your package is lost or damaged by Royal Mail. (this may not apply for some foreign addresses) We do not charge for packaging and all our packaging is brand new. At FABRIC8E, you can save on postage too, as we offer customers a postage discount, for multiple item purchases.
Postage Discount
Postage discount is available on all items, if they are part of a multiple purchase. This lowers the postage cost for you, the customer. It also combines the postage, so you only have to wait for one parcel containing all your items. A multiple purchase doesn't have to be made on the same day. Items can be purchased on different days, provided that they are no more than 3 days apart. However, the items will have to be paid for separately if there are more than 3 days between purchases. Q: Is your fabric new or second hand?

A: All our fabric is brand new straight off the bolt. We never sell second hand fabric.

Q: Why do you pre cut your fabric?

A: Most of our customers are looking for small pieces of fabric for small projects. We specialise in providing a speedy, efficient service that caters for crafters with small projects. Because our fabric is pre cut, our dispatch time is much faster than it would be if we had to cut a piece of fabric every time we sold one.

Q: Can I buy continuous lengths of fabric?

A: As stated in all our fabric listings, our fabric is all pre cut so if you buy multiple pieces of the same fabric, you will receive separate pieces rather than one continuous length.

Q: Do you provide fabric samples?

A: Because our fabric is pre cut, there is very little leftover fabric. Any leftover fabric we do have gets turned into our lavender sachets, which we send out to our customers free of charge in every fabric order. This means we have no fabric left for samples.

Q: Do you combine postage fees?

A: When you buy multiple pieces of fabric or items from us, always contact us to ask us to combine your order. You can contact us via ebay's "Ask Seller a Question" link which is found on every listing. We will combine your order, making sure you get the very best postage price for your parcel's weight and size.

Q: What happens if I don't receive my order?

A: We can't be held responsible for items lost in the post. However if you contact us, we will fill in a claim form and send it along with any relevant documents, to Royal Mail's Customer Services Department so that they can investigate and issue a refund.

Q: Do you charge for your packaging?

A: We don't charge for our packaging. We only charge for postage with the prices taken from Royal Mail's current price list.

Q: Is your packaging new?

A: We only use brand new packaging so that your fabric reaches you in pristine condition.

Q: What types of payment do you take?

A: For all our customers, we take pay pal only. We don't take cheques or postal orders any more, due to problems caused by these types of payment going missing in the post.

Q: Will you accept returns?

A: Please contact us if there is a problem (i.e. damaged goods) and the item needs to be returned. We will send out a replacement upon receipt of the damaged goods which should be returned complete with original packaging within 7 days of receipt. If a replacement is not possible we will refund the cost.

Q: Do you give a postage discount?

A: We give a 30p postage discount on every item purchased after the first one. This makes it easy for customers buying just two or three items to pay without having to wait for an invoice. However if you are buying more than two or three items, you may want to ask for a combined invoice before paying.
