Avoiding fakes
We would all love to believe that everyone is just looking to make an honest living. The reality is that there are way too many people who take great pleasure in making money by deceiving us. Designer sunglasses are more sought after now than ever, and unfortunately, there are more fakes/counterfeits now than ever.
We only sell 100% authentic goods and we hope you’ll seek assurance by taking the time out to have a look at our feedback, not just on our eBay shop DMS Gifts4U but our sister shop selling Branded Sportswear DMS Sportsworld where we can boast a feedback rating of 17,000 + on a perfect score of 100%.
Here are some handy tips to avoid getting stung with a fake item:
1. Make sure that your item will be delivered with ALL original paperwork and packaging. If either of these are not included it’s time to get concerned.
2. If it’s too cheap then sorry to spoil it for you... but you need to be worried. Any ‘designer’ sunglasses such as Armani/Gucci/D&G/Diesel/Christian Dior etc... will not be offered at prices like £20 or £30 unless the seller has a hobby of losing money!
3. All Sunglasses manufactured by the names above and the like will have details on the inside of the arm/s such as model number, colour codes, specific measurements and so on.
4. When you see listings that overstate the Authentic/Genuine statement, that’s usually a good thing but does not guarantee the item is not fake. However, if there nothing mentioned – that’s not a good sign.
5. Probably the most important of the lot – Buy from a trusted and established seller! If the seller has a good reputation, it’s probably for a reason!
To finalise, It’s worth remembering 2 important things about buying fakes. The UV protection offered with fakes will NOT be of the standard as genuine branded sunglasses so be aware of that and... the build will NOT be anywhere near the sort of quality you would get with an original item so don’t expect them to last as long either.
We really hope this may have helped you in a small way.
