In some cases we appreciate information as to why you were not 100% satisfied with the item to help us better our service & product range in the future, this will in no way impact your refund. Items of clothing are returnable but please be aware that we charge a £3.00 restocking fee to cover our costs. Items of lingerie are non refundable.

Same day dispatch!!

  All items that have been paid for before 3:00pm using Paypal will be dispatched on the same day excluding weekends & Bank holidays. Any items paid for before 9:00am on Saturday will be dispatched on the same day. This offer excludes wholesale items. This offer is only applicable to instant payments received by Paypal, cheques & postal orders may have to be processed before items can be dispatched.

Fair P+P charges

  We make no profit from our P+P charges, please be aware that our P+P charges cover the following:

• Postage & Packaging
• Printing
• 17.5%VAT (although there is no VAT on stamps all VAT registered ebay sellers must pay VAT on postage as it is part of the service we offer).
• Paypal commission
• Handling charge (we travel a 5 mile round trip to the Post Office 6 times a week & pay for parking)

  Currently ebay allows these costs to be incorporated into the P+P charges. We beleive that ebay is moving towards a mandatory "Free P+P" from all sellers at which time they will have to lower ebay final sales commission. At present for us to offer free P+P would mean an additional final sales commission, the result of which means that we have to charge more for our items. This is the truth of the matter, we have to operate at a profit but want to offer the best service at the best price, our P+P charges at present are within the rules & ultimately save you money.

We photograph all of our items!

  One of the biggest problems on ebay is image theft, this is where a seller will steal images from another source to advertise his/her items, this is illegal. It is a particular problem with clothing, pictures of clothes are very difficult to get right, they require studio equipment, mannequins & photographic skill.

  A lot of ebay sellers are taking the easy route & lifting pictures instead of doing the required work to generate these pictures. Not only is this against the law but in most case a very professional picture will be taken from a big company because it looks vaguely like the item the seller has. This often results in massive disappointment for the buyer as they will receive an item that looks nothing like the item pictured. Here at Canal Boat Trading we painstakingly take all of our own photographs to give accurate representation of the items we sell.
