The questions that we are asked the most relate to the sizes of the jerseys that we sell.
We're foremost fans of these jerseys but we're lucky enough to sell them too.
From our experience of purchasing vintage cycling jerseys from eBay vendors we think that it's important to remember the following points:
-
There is no industry standard as to what dimensions 'small', 'medium' or 'large' actually are. Each manufacturer has their own idea. You might fit fine into a '5' in one make but be bustin' out of the seams of a '5' from another maker. Believe me, we know...
For those reasons we suggest the following:
-
When we buy jerseys from eBay vendors, we always refer to the precise measurements given by the seller. We compare those to a jersey we already own that we like the fit of. We find that it's the best way to avoid getting something that doesn't fit. Again, sounds obvious, but it took us a while to learn our lessons!
-
The size that we put in the listing title is our interpretation of what the dimensions are actually telling us and may not be what the label itself says. We feel this is the best way for us to make sure you get exactly the size that you want. The size that is on the label will be in the body of the listing, if the jersey contains a label.
SMALL: 30-38 INCH CHEST
MEDIUM: 38-40 INCH CHEST
LARGE: 40-42 INCH CHEST
EXTRA LARGE: 42 INCH AND ABOVE CHEST
