Welcome to my General Information page.

One of the most common questions I'm asked is how much postage and packaging is to a particular location. This is shown on my Shop Policies page, along with postal discounts and insurance/tracking information.

I also sometimes get asked to pack items carefully. I always pack carefully - it's not in my interest to do otherwise, after all. Please see my feedback page for comments by previous buyers, which I hope will reassure you. Each item is wrapped in bubble and boxed. Small items have cardboard separators, larger items have an inner box. The outer box is filled with bio-degradable free-flow polystyrene packing peanuts, and the whole is sealed with copious quantities of parcel tape. Wherever possible I use recycled boxes, (a) because it's cheaper for you and (b) because I like to do my bit for the environment.

Within the UK I use recorded or special delivery as appropriate. Special Delivery always gets there next working day, first class usually gets there next working day and second class quite often arrives next working day, although Royal Mails target is three working days.

For European buyers I always use airmail as it's only a few pence cheaper and gets there within a week as a rule.

For buyers outside of Europe I offer airmail as standard. If you particularly want surface mail, which is much slower, international signed-for is required on all items regardless of value.

Otherwise, for all overseas buyers, ISF is optional up to £19.99 an required over that. You should also bear in mind that Customs in the destination country may delay items for inspection and may also impose import duties.
