The
AVG Purchase Process
Before 29th April 2008 we
delivered Software via download as an option or as an alternative /
addition to Postal delivery. Downloads are no longer permissible within
eBay due, we suspect, to 'rogue dealers'. See
the eBay Digital Download Policy.
The purchase process used
to be simple, speedy and secure. Soon after a confirmed purchase the
Activation / Sales Code was emailed to the purchaser. This enabled you
to download the Installation
File from the AVG Web Site, if you had not already done
so, install the programme, register and license.
In other words UP, RUNNING,
LICENSED and completely LEGAL in minutes. In other words as soon as
the Sales Code arrived via email a purchaser could, if they so wished,
obtain their purchased License by registering the Activation Code on
the AVG
Registration Web Page and receive their License.
WHAT
HAPPENS NOW!
We can only
offer computer software products as postal delivery items. Postal charges
have been kept to the very minimum to cover cost. It is not our policy
to make a profit on postal charges - that's just not fair. Purchased
products are dispatched via the postal system on the same day as funds
are received (next day dispatch if funds received after
4 pm) - excluding after 12 noon on a Wednesday and Saturday, all day
Sundays and Public Holidays.
Activation
/ Sales codes are still emailed to your email address as a secure back-up
to postal delivery when you purchases from CA-Southern, so nothing has
really changed, except that WE CANNOT ADVERTISE OUR PRODUCTS AS DOWNLOADS.
All our Software is listed and dispatched via the Postal System of your
choice. |

if my License Code is not accepted by my AVG Installation progess?
Please be carefull to not
confuse "1" (one) and "I" (India), "5"
(five) and "S" (Sierra), "8" (eight) and "B"
(Bravo). Signs "0" (zero) and "O" (Oscar) are not
significant, both can be used.
We
strongly advise you to use the copy / paste method.

- I just purchased online,
but I didn't receive my Activation / Sales Code details via email. What
happened?
We
send Activation / Sales Codes as a back-up to postal delivery. Activation
/ Sales Code together with download URL details are sent as soon as
practical after the order has been processed by CA-Southern. This
may take up to 12 hours.
Your
Activation Code & Instructions are always sent
to your eBay registered email address by CA-Southern. Please ensure
that you are connected to the Internet and that your computer or Internet
Service Provider does not have a firewall or spam / ad-blocker affecting
the delivery of your e-mail. If you have an anti-spam programme installed
on your computer, please check your spam or trash file before you contact
us.
If
you only check your eBay mail from an email programme installed on your
computer, as opposed to viewing eBay mail from within the eBay Mail
Portal, it is possible that your ISP will have treated our email to
you as Spam or Junk.
If
after 24 hours you have still not seen your Activation Code email, please
contact our Support Team through the eBay message portal. We are more
that happy to re-send your Activation Code details. Just ask!
Please
remember that you should use the Sales Code sent to you by CA-Southern
by email and by post in order to register the software with AVG and
obtain your License at the following URL: http://www.avg.co.uk/uk.registration.
You
should note that unless you register the code which we sent you, your
programme will only operate on a 30-day free trial basis.

You should note
that unless you register the code which we sent you, your programme
will only operate on a 30-day free trial basis. Register your AVG programme
in your name now at: http://www.avg.co.uk/uk.registration
in order to receive your license code from AVG with your full license
period.
If you fail
to register your programme and the 30-day free trial period runs out,
your computer will become vulnerable as undates will not be authorised. |

will I get my software?
All
software is dispatched on the same day that we receive confirmation
of cleared funds from PayPal (next day dispatch if funds received after

only use the Royal Mail 1st Class Registered Service and 'Next Day '
Delivery Service for our UK resident clients and Royal Mail 'International
Signed For' for all non UK delivery venues.
Royal
Mail Tracking Codes can be obtained upon request. Please email us through
the eBay Messaging Service if you would like your Royal Mail Tracking
Code.

do I install AVG from the installation CD
To install AVG from the installation CD, please proceed as follows:
Insert the CD into
your computer, its content should start automatically. In case this
does not happen, please open 'My Computer' - CD/DVD drive, and run the
file named index1.html.
On the opened page
please select 'Install Your AVG Programme'.
Select Run to start
the installation.
Follow the installation
wizard.
When prompted, please enter your full license number (we recommend to
use the copy/paste method).
If the setup requires
restart, please restart the computer to finish the installation. |

it necessary to re-install the AVG Trial Edition if I bought the AVG
Commercial Edition?
If the AVG Trial
Edition is installed on your computer you don´t have to re-install
