Tin TOy production
Production starts with the painting of the sheet-metal (about 0,3mm thick).
For this, printing style sheets are made, which are streched on to the printing drum. Then, using an offset-printing-process, the sheet metal is printed.
After that, the tin plates are dried in electronically regulated drying chambers.

The following pictures show the tin plates being punched and shaped and bent with hydraulic presses until the final form is reached.
up to 15 differnt operstions is needed for 1 tin toy part ! (for example the fenders),
The tooling is produced in close contact with the museums and archives of the manufacturer, for example John Deere, in our own toolmaker department. If possible using the original technical drawings.
Kovap have namy years of experience and specific knowledge to produce models of the highest quality.
Some parts of the toys, wheel rims, the exhaust of the John Deere tractor or the winding up key, are manufactured with a pneumatic die-cast machine.
The manufactured parts are fitted to sub assembly groups and then final assembled with lovingly care skilled handiwork.
At the tractor, for example, 300 steps are necessary, until the model is ready.
After the final assembly, the toys pass through quality control and are packed and go to the shipping department.
