WHY DO YOU SAY 10-12 BUSINESS DAYS? Hi, This is a common question we are asked and we would like to explain as follows. Because we have to give a realistic estimate to take into account the consignments being sent to ourselves. All our stock is imported which means it has to go through two lots of Custom aurhorities. When it arrives in the UK at Heathrow it goes through UK Customs where they are inspected and the relevant VAT and import duties are applied. The consignment then goes to the International Hub for distribution. The contracted courier company, in our case Parcel Force send them out their local depots across the country and the parcel is then delivered to us. We then post them 1st class recorded delivery to our customers. So, depending on how and when various consignments arrive with us determines when we can post the items to our customers. If we have already have an item in stock we will send it out the next day or within a couple of days, or if items may arrive in our next consignment a week later, so we try to be realistic. If you receive your item quicker than you were expecting you will be really pleased. We feel it is better not to raise customer expectations too high because then they are bitterly disappointed. Ebay & customers want sellers to keep postal charges down to a minimum or even offer free p&p, but it has to be paid for somewhere, the A & F web site offers delivery in 5-7 business days but have a minimum charge of £20 for an article up to the value of £100. If we charged £20 delivery for a tee, polo or fleece we would be punished in our feedback, so things have to come a slower route and in bulk to keep the prices down. The cost incurred by us in overseas shipping, import duty and VAT is included in the price you pay for the item, you only pay the actual UK postage cost when we send it to you. If the waiting period is too long and you do not realise at the time of ordering then we will provide a no quibble refund.
