We are regularly asked about certifing products for sale in the UK. Our advice has always been the same, you MUST have a safety assessment for everything that you make to sell. Any person wishing to sell their soaps  to the public, even when using a pre-prepared base, does need a 'certificate' (safety assessment) to state that the product has been tested and meets required standards. This legislation also requires the full preparation of a product file which should contain all information regarding manufacturing method, ingredients, MSDS for all ingredients etc. This file should be kept available for view by anyone requesting. We have now teamed up with a Chartered Scientist,Chartered Chemist & Safety Assessor to offer a complete safety assessment package exclusively to our Customers, everything from soap to bath bombs and lip balms. In order to provide you with our safety assessment we require following information by email


1. Your Name and Address

2. Your Trading Name and Address (if you have one)

3. Confirmation that you use a good manufatcuring process.

- "I comfirm that my products are made according to UK GMP guidelines" in your email is sufficient, These can be purchased from our stores directly if you are unsure as to what to write or how to complete.

4. Payment

you may email your information separately, or include when making payment

Once we receive your payment. We shall email to ask you for the information as stated above. Once this is completed we shall send your details to our assessor, who will complete and issue your certificates. These will then be dispatched to you.

As this is a legal assessment, please be aware that it will take up to 14 days to receive the paper work.

you will need to create a finished product specification for the final product, called a PIF file; where appropriate, you may need to consider the need for analytical or microbial tests, this is not included in the assessment offered for sale here.  As the end manufacturer, you have the responsibility of ensuring your products comply with EU regulations.

As these assessments are custom made to exactly match the details of your company, your name and your adress, we can not offer refunds or returns on these items as we have no way of offering these items to any other customer. If your assessment is damaged during transit, we will replace this with an identical copy of the document, again sent by our assessor.
