ABOUT MY BUSINESS

My business is called 'Ann Jones Collectables'. I have been trading on Ebay, at Antique fairs and at local markets since 2000. I am based in Halifax in West Yorkshire .

I have a regular stall at Todmorden Market on a Thursday. My health is erratic & don't get there every week so contact me if you intend to visit. We also do Wetherby carboot on a Sunday, wether & health permitting. Again contact me if you want to visit. You can pick up most heavy items at either venue. 

Now- a- days I am mostly trading on Ebay as my health is poor and I am rather housebound. I suffer from severe depression and migraine and am registered disabled.

Between about 1986 and 1991 I had a shop called 'ANN JONES' in the PIECE HALL Halifax, where I sold antique and vintage costume, linen and lace and all sorts of costume accessories.

When I am poorly with migraine or depression I can be slow to respond and can and do make the odd  silly mistake. So please bear with me. The mistakes are ALWAYS put right.

YOU MUST EMAIL  if your items needs quick mailing (my husband will see to it if  I am poorly) OR if there is a problem with your item.

REMEMBER you are covered by FREE Royal Mail INSURANCE for delay or missing items (not breakages but Steve PACKS delicate items REALLY well). See details of insurance below.

 So email & KEEP IN TOUCH if there is a delay. I can claim UK insurance after 2 weeks UK and 3 weeks International.

Return Policy Details  BUY IT NOW:- Returns within 14 days for 'buy it now' items but postage is NOT paid. EMAIL me before you return & items MUST be mailed 'sign for'. Items must be in the condition they were sent in (I have detailed pictures on file) and in original packing. AUCTION ITEMS:- returns only if I have made a mistake in listing BUT these rare problems are usually resolved without a returns. Same return mailing conditions as 'Buy it Now' items- see above.

          DETAILS OF POSTAGE AND INSURANCE   

I do not take echecks- they take 10 days to clear and I like to get items posted quickly. 

 My basic packing fee is £1.20 but it starts at 80p for recycled packaging & items needing just a small postage bad. My highest general fee is £1.50 BUT it could be higher for large items or big sets.

From June 2009 I am adding details of packing fees to each listing. Any overpayment of  mail costs will be refunded. I keep details of prices of mailing. Work out if you are due a refund by deducting your packing fee from the cost of postage on the label on your item. I USUALLY refund right after posting but I am far from perfect! 

IF YOUR ITEM cost more than the £39 UK COMPENSATION available or the £34 INTERNATIONAL COMPENSATION available I will insist on SPECIAL DELIVERY in the UK or INTERNATIONAL SIGN FOR  internationally. This will be included in some listings but added at th end if bidding goes above £39.

ALSO items with intrinsic value such as gold or silver are not covered by Compensation insurance. I will offer Special Delivery/ International Sign for on such listings. The costs increase above £39 & may be edited are your listing ends. If you DON'T WANT TO PAY THIS we can negotiate.

In the UK 'SIGN FOR' is available on your invoice at £0.75 extra & carries tracking & compensation to £39. INTERNATIONAL SIGN FOR  can be added to your invoice for items up to the value of £39.

 SPECIAL DELIVERY and INTERNATIONAL SIGN FOR  both carry tracking and return of postage costs if a claim is made. . 

When I make a claim the Post Office will contact you to confirm the details I have sent them. They require a copy of the Ebay listing details and of your Paypal payment. I will refund you when the cheque from the Post Office clears my account.

ABOUT METHODS OF PAYMENT

 I  accept personal cheques in the UK in Pounds Sterling- if you are abroad & have a UK Sterling bank account, that is fine too.  BUT only from buyers of good standing with 10+ feedback. Also UK bank transfer is accepted from regular customers or Ebayers of good standing..

New Ebayers with less than 10 feedback are welcome BUT I want quick payment by Paypal – I CAN SEND AN INVOICE TO PAY BY CREDIT DEBIT CARD. An uncrossed postal order made out to my business name is the only other option.

 Worldwide non English speaking Ebayers are welcome so long as they have bought successfully in the UK before. Otherwise please email .

Please be aware that the Detailed Seller Ratings can effect a seller standing on eBay. I am being open about postage costs and you accept these by bidding. PLEASE see neutral and negative feedback as a last resort after detailed negotiation. I will do my best to resolve any problems

I accept returns on 'buy it now' sales, within 21 days. I do not refund initial or return postage. My scans CDs are not covered by the return policy as they are made to your order and any loading problems will be resolved. I am continually working to improve their quality, design disc covers & inserts etc. I keep adding rare scan sets to my Haslam collection.
