My Profile
My name is Julie, I lost my first born twin son to the cancer Hodgins Lymphoma he was 22. It was during his illness that I started making cards as a form of therapy, (it still is). Christmas cards for family and friends came first and then I found I enjoyed it so much (it satisfies my artistic side!) I thought I would try to sell them.
We decided to support the TCT (www.teenagecancertrust.co.uk ) after seeing the diffculties our son had when sharing wards with older men with whom he was unable to relate to and, despite their trying, they were often unable to relate to him also.
The trust hope to be able to make more wards available, purely for young people, so that they can support each other through their illnesses, which gives them the confidence and encouragement to fight on, even if they don't really feel up to it.
So far I have raised and donated £30.00 for the TCT by selling my cards online, the occasional table sale, and in a local craft shops (Between Dreams, and Bellacrafts). I would like to thank all who have purchased cards and enabled me to raise this much, Thank you.
