There are many variations on the terms used for grading coins, and this can sometimes cause confusion. I have decided to use the following terms on all my listings.

Coin Grades

Grade Description

Fleur-de-Coin                   Absolutely flawless, without any wear scratches or fingerprints.

Uncirculated                    In new condition as issued by the mint, but not necessarily perfect.

Brilliant Uncirculated      As uncirculated, but bright.

Extremely Fine                Slight surface marks or slight wear visible on close inspection.

Very Fine                         Some wear on raised surfaces, but still retaining much detail.

Fine                                  Considerable wear on raised surfaces, all main features sharp.

Fair                                  Very worn, but all inscriptions and main features distinguishable.

Poor or Worn                   Very worn, some features or lettering worn away.

These grades are always a matter of opinion to some extent, please look at the scans of each coin. If you want better pictures please e mail me and I will send you some. However, this may not be possible in time if you e mail me too soon before the end of the listing!

All of my coins have a refund on return within 14 days policy, and a refund on return with no time limit if proved to be fake or mis-described.
