Besides, if you just want to buy jewellery because you like the look of it then you probably don't want to wade through lines and lines of text, so this is why I've created this page. If you are interested in this sort of thing then it's here for you, and if you're not then its not staring you in the face every time you want to look at one of my listings!

Silver is said to clarify ideas and and connect the spiritual parts of our being. Therefore it is of great benefit to the crown chakra. It is also believed to repel any kind of negative energy. If you are interested you can find out more about chakras here
In a tarot reading the moon card can suggest that we are wrongly interpreting a situation and could potentially be putting ourselves in harms way. Silver is considered to be a good antidote to this because it is believed to protect us from the confusion which leads to illusions and it helps us to see things clearly
Silver has very strong associations with the moon and so has associations with the only star sun ruled by the moon ~ cancer. Cancerians tend to be strongly influenced by their emotions and can be prone to mood swings, much like the waxing and waning of the moon. Silver is said to be able to offer those born under this sign the stability they need to protect them from over sentimentality and can prevent them from becoming bogged down with their own emotions
Silver has been linked in mythology to water and the moon and so is attributed with the energies of both ~ reception and regeneration. This is why it is recommended to help relieve depression and obsession. (Like water, it is an exceptional conductor of electricity). It is said to help with the acceptance of new ideas and feelings and with facing the reality of any given situation. By purifying silver in spring water and lying with it near your crown chakra you are said to be able to relieve obsessions by visualising white waves of purifying light coming from the silver into your head as you breathe in, and the obsessive thoughts and anxieties going out with your breath when you exhale. Try this for about 10 breath cycles until you feel calm and peaceful.
