The definition of color describing words for my products

In my shop there are lots of colorful products, and some items resemble each other in shapes and a little difference in colors. So to get your desired items, it is important to tell it apart from its similar ones by looking their photographs.
If you are in need of small tips, the below table may help you.

Gold plated

There is a thin layer of gold been plated on to the surface of another metal. So the gold plated jewelry has a sunshine yellow color that looks closer to the gold. And this golden color is unique to the harvest season.

 

Gold tone

This cat is gold toned in color and it is not as shiny as the gold plated one. So some buyers might think this cat bead which looks a little black have been tarnished. Actually this is a special blacken technique to make an antique look to this cat bead. And this antique finish is used to highlight the patterns or make the details stand out. In addition, it can provide protection to the base metal. 
(The same finish can be found on the silver tone pieces as well.)
 

Silver plated

 The silve plated jewelry is more shiny and looks like the real silver.

 

Silver tone

This clip has a silver colored finish and it has been blackened to protect the colored finish from fade away. And it is intentionally made to add an antique look to hand made projects.

As the thin layer or the gold tone finish is normally wears away easily, please take care of your gold tone/gold plated/silver tone/silver plated jewelry.

  1. Store your jewelry in a clean, dry place or wrap it with soft material which can prevent scratches. The scratches will cause the gold layer to wear away faster.
  2. Keep it away from water, soaps, perfumes and hard surfaces. Take off your jewelry before washing or have a bathe
  3. Cleaning your jewelry gently with soft cloth or the appointed jewelry cleaner
